With years of experience in typical language development, disorders, and language-based learning disorders, CAP Communications, LLC specializes in assessing and treating language and literacy disorders, specific language impairments, and developmental language disorders.

 

CAP Communications, LLC strives to provide individual-centered services allowing your child to reach their fullest potential. This practice seeks to empower and re-engage individuals in their learning and develop skills for long-term academic and social-emotional success. Other practice goals include collaboration with family and educators to redesign an environment that maximizes social and academic achievement.

About the Owner

Alli Caplinger, MA, CCC-SLP/L has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist since 2017. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), has maintained her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)s, and is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri. She is a member of the Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (KSHA).

 

Alli has worked in an educational setting designed for students with language-based learning disabilities. Her professional experience nurtured her passion for language and literacy. In addition, it enabled her to refine evaluation, treatment, and consultative skills. She is experienced treating individuals diagnosed with oral and/or written disorders with a variety of other learning disabilities and profiles. 

 

Alli graduated from DePauw University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas in 2017. During her time at KU, she worked as a research assistant in the Reading Disorders laboratory. 

 

She is a Topeka native and currently lives in Shawnee, Kansas with her family. Her hobbies include running, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog.
